On Sunday I attended this awesome event with my mum.The event was held in conjunction with the Chatsworth Rotary Anne’s.The function was at the Durban Jewish Club.
The day was such a great day filled with fab speakers like Sue Levy, Hayley Owen, Amanda Stone and Aneshree Naidoo. For me just to write one post on the event would not do any justice. The hall was beautifully set up with round tables decorated in Hot Pink and glitter. Two breakfast stations were set up as they event started rather early, a selection of muffins and fresh cream scones were on offer with hot beverages and fresh fruit juice.
Before getting my breakfast nibbles I went to get my nails done at the pamper station.I don’t normally go for a nude colour but the lovely ladies doing my nails suggested this Bourjois colour. The nail varnish is said to be 7 day chip free.So let’s see.The lovely Miemie from@BlendboxSA had a gorgeous stand set up in the hall with the delicious body products.
After we had a cup of java we were welcomed by Sasha Martin and then our MC Stevie French introduced us to the programe of the day and our speakers. The room was buzzing with over 150 ladies all nattering away.I was so impressed to see women of different age groups at the event and even groups of families. The lovely Yasantha Naidoo from the Sunday Times joined us at our table.
I won’t be going into much detail here about the speakers as each had such powerful wisdom to share. There will be individual posts on each coming up.All the speakers were dynamic and got the ladies going.
After the speakers it was time for a yummy lunch.Mum was happy that vegetarians were catered for. After lunch we were divided into 3 groups to attend the 3 group sessions skincare, makeup and self defence.
At skincare Bioderma had us cleanse , exfoliate and moisturize. We were then asked to take a no makeup selfie and post it on social media. We were also given this rather lovely big bag either in black or pink laden with goodies.
Our second session was an interactive makeup session with Sasha using MUD makeup products. We were first asked to open up this beautifully packed item on our tables only to find a gorgeous set of makeup brushes we were to use.Wohooo the brushes were beautifully package in a white leather holder.
After our session we broke for tea and yummy treats. After this session we were meant to go to the Chinese self defense session, but the ladies at my table ended up chatting and drinking tea which was rather great.
Mum and I left the event at 5:30pm exhausted after a fun filled days.I peeked into my goodie bag when I got home to find Original Iced sachets, magazines and goodies from Frys.
Thanks FaceValue and Sasha for a great informative day out.
Look out for more posts on the event.
