Molo August !
And surprise ! August has arrived taking us into the eight month of 2016. Time is literally flying by and there is still so much I want to do in 2016. But in the same breath 2016 has been filled with all sorts of wonderful.
Molo is the Xhosa word for Hello. Xhosa is one of the 11 official languages spoken in South Africa. In South Africa, we have several dialects spoken due to location and the various cultural groups found in the country. Each group brings with it their own language ,culture and history.
July was so busy and filled with loads of adventures and experiences because of the #ExploreWC Trip so keep an eye out for more posts. The last week of July , brought the much needed rain to Durban but this resulted in two days of flooding and damage to many homes including the loss of lives during the rains.
August is a special month as in South Africa , we celebrate Women’s Day and it is a public holiday. A day when we pay homage and salute the Goddesses in our lives. This month we also have a National Election and all South Africans will be going to the polling stations to vote.
Dearest August …
Welcome to 2016 ,you arrived so swiftly. Like your sisters before you , I know you will be spectacular as always bringing with you all sorts of wonderful.
July taught me several lessons which I carry with me into August :
- Gratitude for things I take for granted.
- The value of Friendship.
- The importance of networking.
- Looking after myself.
- Say YES a bit more often.
I am hoping that August gives me the opportunity to :
- Write more.
- Be a kinder human.
- Make a difference.
- Refocus on a healthy lifestyle.
- Read at least 2 complete books.
- Spend more time cooking for my loved ones.
So once again , Molo August and welcome to my world. I look forward to the adventures we will have. Tomorow I will be going to cast my vote as a responsible adult so that I can be the change I want to see in the world.
Do you have any goals for August ?
Be Inspired !
Ciao
