Relate Bracelet from @Clicks_SA #Review

Two weeks while shopping at my local Clicks store I saw a box of rather cute beaded bracelets.I instantly added one to my shopping without knowing too much about the story behind it.I did however know that the money went to a charity.

So what is Relate ?
It is a non profit organisation that creates opportunities to change lives. The making and selling of this bracelet is facilitated by Relate. Each bracelet costs only R35.By buying a bracelet you get to support your chosen course and help develop skills and create learning opportunities while helping local enterprise development.
“We are not a symbol of social responsibility ; we are an instrument of change”
The journey of a bracelet:
The beaders involved with Relate are a group of elderly township ladies. They meet at a local club to do this making activity. For these ladies it gives them a sense of dignity and purpose. Most of the ladies support entire families including AIDS orphaned grandchildren financially.
The charity I supported was SEW, which stands for Sorbet Empowering Women. The foundation was set up to empower disadvantaged women. The proceeds from the sales of the bracelets will go towards the training and development of nail technicians.Successful graduates will be able to apply for jobs in Sorbet Salons and nail bars.SEW will also fund some candidates to start the own nail bars. How amazing is that ! The ladies will be sen on training courses to enable them to run their own small business.A branded franchise will then be set up and assist the new franchisees with marketing and promotion.

WOW I didn’t know that there was so much behind the beaded bracelet I bought for just R35 at Clicks.I feel so proud to know that I am positively contributing to empowering other women.
“Wear the change you want to see.”
Be Inspired !
