#ExploreWC with the 2 Girls
By the time you read this post, I would have started my journey to Cape Town with the first flight out. I will be heading off to meet fellow Blogger Lerato Bambo fromhttp://www.simpleeb.com where for 15 days we will be heading off on an adventure.
Lerato and I met online like most bloggers do and over tweets and emails a friendship blossomed. Both of us have serious cases of Wanderlust. So when Lerato asked me if I was keen to join her on a trip to Cape Town to #ExploreWC I did not hesitate to say YES ! After numerous emails ,screenshots and calls this trip was planned.
Why in Winter though ?
Well firstly why not ? With the exchange rates all so high it makes travel outside of South Africa very expensive for us with our weak rand. So it makes sense to Be a Tourist in your City .Cape Town is a beautiful city and is a well known Summer destination for both locals and tourists alike. So the thought behind our trip is to show locals that travel during winter is possible and affordable. During off peak seasons like now hotel accommodation and flights are discounted when compared to peak periods.
I visited Cape Town last about four years ago during October. The weather was warm but windy at times. I visited with a group of work colleagues who all had different ideas of a holiday. To me a holiday means exploring and trying out new things and not going shopping.So travelling and exploring with Lerato who has the same ideas as me is really exciting. We also are hoping to meet and connect with bloggers from Cape Town while we are there.
During our 15 day trip we will be getting up to all sorts of adventures while braving the cold. We are very excited to have partnered with some pretty awesome brands to make this trip rather memorable.
