15 days of #ExploreWC
On the 1st of July 2016 ,Lerato Bambo and myself headed off on a 15 day adventure to #ExploreWC. What unfolded over the 15 days left us filled with moments and experiences to last a lifetime. Find out about #ExploreWC with the 2 Girls.
We decided at the outset of planning our trip that we would want to do things that are different and not touristy. The best part of our trip was that it was all done by slow travel and at our pace and us deciding what we wanted to do. The fact that the sun does not rise in Cape Town till after 8am kinda threw us off guard for a few days. Sun or rain or pitch dark mornings nothing stopped us from our adventure. Each day not only brought a new adventure but most nights a different home for the evening.
15 days is never enough …
During our time exploring Cape Town and the Western Cape it was clearly evident that 15 days was simply not enough to see and do everything we wanted to. There are so many places to discover and let us not forget all the delicious food to eat.

The weather Gods were on our side and we had some fantastic weather. We arrived into a wet and cold Cape Town but as we drove into the city we were treated to a beautiful rainbow amidst the greyness. And just the same way Cape Town greeted us with rain and the cold we left with the same weather. Instantly as soon as I boarded the plane I started humming “Everywhere you go, you always take the weather with you.” We braved the winter in Cape Town and got to experience all sorts of wonderful thus proving it is possible to #ExploreWC in winter and enjoy it.
From Cape Town to McGregor to Stellenbosch we discovered and experienced so much. We met some pretty amazing people and got to connect with several of our online blogging friends. The last 15 days have been awesome and I can not wait to go back and #ExploreWC again. South Africa is a beautiful country both in Winter and Summer so go out and start exploring.
