As one walks into Rove Hotel , instantly one senses just how quirky, funky and interesting your stay is going to be. During my recent trip to Dubai , I stayed at Rove Hotel situated in old Dubai.
Rove Hotels are for the modern, attentive ,value conscious and socially networked generation as well as families who cherish reliable ,modern, and fuss free experiences.
Situated in the heart of Deira City Centre and a mere ten minutes away from the airport makes Rove City Centre Hotel a great option. On arrival into Dubai Airport , I assumed a long drive into the city centre awaited me but I was rather surprised to find myself within ten minutes checking into my hotel. The hotel is relatively new and opened in 2016. When one thinks Dubai , one thinks grandeur and palace like hotels but this is not the case with Rove Hotels and they offer you a different experience and yes you can do Dubai on a budget. Checking in was a fairly simple process which was great for me as I was on a rather tight time schedule.
The reception area is large and bright, with a help desk on one side and a work station with computers set up for guests to use.The decor is funky and great elements of travel and found all over. Loads of IG worthy images. I had to take up my own luggage to my room which was 9th floor with an incredible view of the city.
The room was large, bright with clean-cut lines. Great wall pieces adorned the wall. A bar fridge with complimentary water was in the room and very welcomed after my long flight. On the work station there was a tea and coffee station with takeaways cups with lids such a nifty idea for those on the go. The bathroom had a shower with huge dispensers of shower gel and shampoo. There were sufficient charging points in the room for all my gadgets which was great as often a hotel room lacks these. After a quick shower I got ready to start #MyDubai adventure but first I needed some food. Walking out the door I noticed the cutest sign ever which had images of everything you would need when leaving the hotel money, cards, sunglasses and keys. I needed this reminder as I had forgotten my sunglasses.
The Breakfast eatery The Daily, was also rather modernly designed with wooden tables with plug point charging stations this is perfect for any gadget lover. A buffet breakfast with the usual offerings of smoothies, fruit ,pastries and hot food. Guests also can order a special hot meal for the menu. I opted for my all time favourite Shakshuka. They also have an All Day menu with a variety of dishes from around the world.
