#MMacaronClass Launch

Last week Thursday, saw the official launch of my dear friend Viveshni aka Madame Macaron #MMacaronClass. Invited to the media launch were several Food and Lifestyle Bloggers and members of the media.I normally end up missing events due to work but I knew this was one not to miss.

The venue was Ginja Kitchen Studio in Durban North where the classes are held. The kitchen is utterly gorgeous with beautiful workstations fully equipped with amazing equipment.On arrival, we were welcomed but our lovely host Viveshni who offered an array of refreshments which included something sweet and savoury. There was even a candy trolley filled with sweet treats. It was lovely mingling with blogging friends some who I haven’t seen for ages. Once we were all there , the Wifi access was given and then all of us were busy tweeting and Instagramming away using the hashtag #MMacaronClass.Check out Twitter and Instagram for the hashtag to see what else went on

We were told that there were going to be giveaways at the end of the evening. Each of our workstations had the cutest aprons, notebooks and recipe sheets.Viveshni asked us to all don our rather snazzy aprons and we then proceeded to the demo unit. It was here we learned the step by step process of how to make the mixture and then we all got a chance to pipe a Macaron shell, needless to say I didn’t get it right the first time.We then got to try out some rather yummy fillings before Viveshni showed us how to fill and decorate the Macarons. At this point  we returned to our units to decorate and fill our own Macarons this was so much fun.Everyone got rather into the mood using glitter , sprinkles and chocolate.
Once we all were done we sat down and had some Moorish sweet treats to end the evening.Viveshni then announced the winners of the giveaway.I won a beautiful Madame Macaron chopping board and a voucher.We each were given a cute branded bag filled with treats that included Teapigs Tea , chocolate pretzels and a magazine. It was such a delightful evening with friends learning a new skill.I will be chatting more to Madame Macaron in my Friday series #LocalisLekker on her classes.Keep an eye out for a giveaway as well.
