Tsogo Sun Garden Court Umhlanga #Review

In the begining of June ,I was the guest of Club Travel at the Garden Court in Umhlanga.I live in the South of Durban central so not often do I find myself in this neck of the woods.My Birthday in April was rather crazy as we had so much going on and I was ill so I didnt celebrate much.So the weekend away in my city was rather awesome.
The location of this hotel is amazing.It is literally a 6 minute walk away from Gateway and a ten minute cab ride to Granda Square also known as the village with its buzzing night life.My cousin and I checked in that Friday night just after 7pm.Check in was quick and hassle free.
On arrival the staff were welcoming and the enterance area was very smart.I had read that the hotel had gone under a refurb recently.The general style theme running throughout was one of modern ,fresh lines with hints of Africa.The hotel is very eco concerned and the lights in your room work with your keycard so literally comes on only when you are in the room.
The room was clean and neat with all basic amenties to be found.The view was stunning as our room overlooked the beautifully lit up twin heated pool area.
The breakfast area was bright with huge windows letting in the warm winter sunshine.A wide variety of hot and cold food was on offer.After our crazy and very late night out we needed to get some yummy food into our tummies.The staff were attentive in topping up our hot beverages.
This hotel is perfect for someone on business or a weekend exploring your city.There is so much to do in the surrounding area with such easy access.
On Sunday after a lazy brunch we checked out and asked the reception to store our luggage so that we could pop into Gateway for a spot of shopping.With our luggage stored safely we headed off for a few hours of retail therapy before returning and making our way home.
I loved our stay here and wished it was longer so that I could experience the heated pool,gym and explore more in the surrounding area.
