Winter Writers Course

In April, a few days before my birthday I got an email from my Union about applications for a week long Writers course. This instantly caught my attention and I was determined to apply for this.
My amazing friends at work all encouraged me to complete this application and send it off on time. A week before the deadline on the 20th May I worked on the application, had friends read it and provide feedback. I mailed my application a week earlier as I was so excited about this and then counted down the days till the 3rd of June when I would find out if I was successful.
All day on the 3rd I kept checking my email for a response.Later that evening when I had given up I got the email saying I was successful . Boy was I over the moon. Such a great experience to improve my writing skills in a week long retreat with intensive writing workshops.
This Saturday was the pre workshop meet which will feature in another post 🙂
