Review of: Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
This year I haven’t had much time to read and often I start a book but don’t finish it.As it end of the year and exam season at work things are a little quiter. The book has received excellent reviews and features on Richard & Judy’s Galaxy Bookclub Spring 2012.
Last week I started reading Me before you which I had kept seeing mentioned on Twitter. Its taken me a week to read and on Tuesday afternoon I finally completed this book.
My thoughts on this book:
Jojo Moyes is an amazing storyteller and captures the reader from the outset.
Louisa Clark the heroine of this story lives in a little village on the outskirts of London. She works in a cafe until its closed down and then Will Traynor enters her life.
Will is the rich boy who lives in the house on the hill , he met with an accident that left him paralysed.Louisa or Clark as Will affectionately calls her becomes his caregiver for a 6month period.
During this time a bond is formed between this unlikely pair. There are loads of laughs in this book and tears. The story follows their journey in six months with many twists and turns in each page.
When I finished this book all I wanted to do was to curl up on a couch and sob my heart out. This is definitely one love story I will not forget.
Do I recommend this book ?? YES
