Simply Fantastic ! Simply Asia #Review

When I saw this going up in my local mall , Galleria a few months ago I was very excited.Yes finally I could get my fix.I was first introduced to this eatery by my aunt in Cape Town who happens to own two of these.To say it was love at 1st bite would be an understatement.I simply could not get over the flavour and freshness of the dishes on the menu.
So when these stores started opening in Durban and was at the Taste of Durban, it made my tummy rather happy.The bad part that the stores where not close to my local area.Also Mum had seen some Thai dishes not from Simply Asia and she was not impressed.As a vegetarian its often hard to find places where mum enjoys her meal.
Last week while in my local mall Galleria in Toti , I saw that Simply Asia was open and running.Mum had no choice but to have lunch with me there.I knew secretly that Mum would love the food from here.

It was lunchtime and there were a few people inside eating.But trust me this will change once people taste whats on offer and be back often.The very friendly waitress welcomed us and explained to us the menu.I knew exactly what we wanted so I ordered a starter to share and 2 main dishes.

Then our food arrived and mum and I stopped talking and just enjoyed our meal.For starters I had ordered sweetcorn to share.My main was the special and popular dish 514 which is a chicken and cashew nut noodle dish , mum had a Tofu and cashew dish with jasmine rice.The portion sizes are generous, fresh ingredients used and prices are well worth it.I couldnt finish off my meal as I wasnt feeling too well so I took home a doggy bag.

Our bill came to R167 for two which really is not bad at all.On paying our lovely waitress informed us of their weekly specials Mondays and Tuesdays all Noodle dishes are buy 1 get 1 free and on Wednesday half price Sushi.Oh yes I will defo be going back and indeed we did so this Monday.
We opted for the 514 but changed the chicken to Tofu and the green pepper to Brinjal.The staff are ever so helpful in changing dishes to your liking.Mum totally enjoyed this dish and is now a convert and loves Simply Asia.Mum is already planning on what to try out next when we go.The best part was our bill just under R70.


So yes Simply Asia is my favourite eating place at the moment and Mum’s too.I LOVE their weekly specials.Whats your fav dish on the menu ?
