Brahman Hills is the perfect Romantic getaway
Having stayed at this beautiful property Brahman Hills I cannot recommend it enough as the perfect romantic getaway. A mere hour and a half away from the hustle and bustle of Durban city life one can truly find an oasis of tranquillity. Brahman Hills is a 4-star hotel with standard hotel rooms, 12 self-catering cottages, a luxury spa, restaurants and conference facilities, and they are rated as one of the best wedding venues in the Midlands.
As winter sets in the Midlands Meander becomes the perfect romantic getaway with the cosy fireplaces and the cutest lil spots all along the Meander. Romance is something that most couples find difficult to create due to several factors but the number one is time. In our modern and fast moving world we are so consumed with work and home that often the notion of creating a romantic moment is forgotten. And then all of a sudden a birthday or an anniversary pops up and we busy start planning and preparing for a romantic surprise. I firmly believe that romance and relationships need to be worked at and that romance is not just for special occasions.
So for me a weekend trip to Brahman Hills ticks the boxes on so many levels. The first part of the trip would be the road trip to the destination. This is the perfect way for you and your partner to spend quality time together actually talking and not distracted by technology. A great tip would be to create a playlist of all your favourite songs as a couple, this is great in setting the mood and reminding each other of memories.
On entering the gates of  Brahman Hills it feels as if one is arriving at a secret hideaway. When booking at Brahman Hills ensure you book a cottage. The cottages are out of this world and make one feel all cosy and loved up in what can best be described as a love nest. Each cottage is private with its own balcony with a Jacuzzi hot tub overlooking the Blue Crane reserve where one can see the beautiful Nguni and Brahman cows grazing not forgetting the Zebras who wander freely. Equipped with a fully fitted kitchen the cottages have a lounge area complete with a fireplace which just add to the romance of Brahman Hills. Staying in these beautiful cottages almost seem like you are living in a bubble of love away from the buzz of city life. The outdoor deck is perfect for sun downers and sunrise and who can rest the magic of been surrounded by Mother Nature with your love.
